Everyday I find something in my kids to be proud of. I am so blessed and it feels so good to be their mom. Today, we went to their school. This is because my son who has been sick for two weeks of chicken pox had to take a special test for the five subjects he missed for their fourth quarterly exams(the last exams before summer vacation). He was able to finish all five in just four hours. Some of his teachers were already able to check four of his five papers right after and gave it back to us right away. Out of the four which were checked he got one mistake in the two subjects. The other one has four mistakes, last one eight mistakes. His adviser was really impressed with his performance because he knows that my son just got out of sickbay and he has not fully recovered and yet he told us that his scores is one of the highest among all 3rd graders in the whole school.
On the otherhand, last night my daughter's adviser gave us a call to inform us that my daughter is included in the recognition day slated on March 25, Thursday. She is going to be awarded Best in English. Some of her teachers whom we bumped into in school this morning were congratulating her and I can't help but feel elated.
Having such good and beautiful children like them is already a blessing, all these accolades they are getting in school is just an added bonus for me. And I am glad because even after all these, my kids have remained humble and simple. It brings a smile to my heart and it definitely makes me one proud momma!
